Japan Hair Association (Approved by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry)
Japan Hair Association, established in June 1970, is the only organization in the industry approved by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry. It serves as a contact point for customer inquiries and requests, as well as a hub to collect information from relevant ministries. In April 2013, it merged with another industry association, the Japan Association of Hair Business, and became the organization with 12 member companies in the hair industry.
Nobuo Nemoto, the founder of Aderans, became its president in 1991 and served for 13 years, helping the industry build trust among its members and enhance its transparency. His contribution has been recognized with the Medal with Blue Ribbon.
Cooperation with Insurance Companies
We collaborate with insurance companies to build an extensive support system for patients in appearance care. For example, we partner with AIG Insurance to provide policies to cover the cost of purchasing medical wigs. With Lifenet Insurance, ORIX Life Insurance, SECOM General Insurance, Dai-ichi Life Insurance, Meiji Yasuda Life Insurance, and others, we also provide our medical wigs and other products at preferential discount prices.
Medical Wig JIS Standardization
The Japan Hair Association submitted a JIS* draft on medical wigs to the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry. Through the Ministry's deliberation over the application, it was approved as the world's first national standard for wigs on April 20, 2015. In the standardization process, the Aderans Group played a leadership role in the industry.
Following the establishment of the standard, we declared that our 20 medical wigs all met the JIS requirements and received approval from the Japan Hair Association to use the M.Wig mark, proving that these products meet the standard. This JIS process has helped improve the clarity of quality standards for medical wigs, allowing customers to purchase products with confidence.

JIS: Japanese Industrial Standards
Some municipalities now have a subsidy system for wigs and other items to support appearance care. For example, since April 2017, Minato-ku, Tokyo, has subsidized up to 30,000 yen (or 70% of the cost) for those living in the city, diagnosed with cancer, and receiving treatment. It helps recipients purchase wigs and breast accessories to cover hair loss and scars associated with treatment and surgery. Similar systems for appearance care are also available in various other municipalities including Akita Prefecture, Yamagata Prefecture, Yokohama City, Ibaraki Prefecture, Nagoya City, Gifu Prefecture, Fukui Prefecture, Tottori Prefecture, and Yamaguchi Prefecture.
